Dip and Strip Paint Removal
Paint, varnish, and lacquer come off in a heated caustic soda tank, and we pressure wash each piece clean afterward. After rinsing, we neutralize the wood and let it dry slowly so it doesn't crack or warp. Drop your pieces off at the shop, or we can collect them.
Furniture Paint Stripping
We take chairs, tables, dressers, and chests back to bare wood, using brass brushes and scrapers to work loosened finish out of carvings and turned legs. Before anything goes in the tank, we remove knobs and hinges and pull the drawers to strip them separately.
Door and Shutter Stripping
Panel doors, louvered shutters, and fire surrounds go into our long dip tank once we've removed the hinges, letter plates, and door furniture.
Metal Paint and Powder Coat Stripping
We strip paint and powder coat from steel and cast iron gates, railings, and garden furniture in a hot stripping tank, then finish each piece with a wire wheel.
Rust Removal and Derusting
Steel and cast iron parts are cleaned in an acid derusting bath, then coated with rust inhibitor to prevent flash rust before painting.
